Bridget Jones Knickers

I may have found the solution you have been looking for if you are constantly irritated by clothes being left on the floor of your home.

For Teens we discussed taking away all their nice underwear and replacing it with BIG huge knickers and ugly trainer bra’s which may or may not work. On one hand they may have seen Bridget Jones’s diary and actually think they are cool, on the other they may just go commando, thus turning it around to an in your face parents, the whole school just saw the results of your wacky parenting. Hmmmmmmmm maybe we need to re think this strategy…

Heaven sent bundle

Today I write for a baby, a baby i haven’t met, maybe one day when my time is done here, I will.

Baby Giselle Anya, your stay was brief but you touched and opened many many hearts. It is such a hard thing to even try to understand when a baby is taken from this life, but if it is like some say, that “the earth is a schoolroom for the soul’s development”, then such a short time in this life would make her perfect wouldn’t it, an angel herself. What a gift to spend even an ounce of time in her presence. How blessed that makes those who’s lives she touched in that short time.

There aren’t many words that can be said are there. Compassion, understanding and time. I think that is what is needed. Cards and flowers are the natural reaction, choice, when compassion cuts so deep for the family it physically hurts and we reach for something, anything to show we want to be your rock, we want to hold you up, stop the world for one second.

Life is too short.

God’s Lent Child

by Florence Correa

I’ll lend you for a little while a child of mine, God said,

For you to love her while she lives, and mourn for when she’s dead.

It may be six or seven years, or forty-two or three;

But will you, till I call her back, take good care of her for me?

I’ll bring her charms to gladden you, and should her stay be brief,

You’ll have the lovely memories as a solace for your grief.

I cannot promise she will stay, since all from earth return;

But there are lessons taught below I want this child to learn.

I’ve searched the whole world over, for teachers kind and true;

And from the throngs that crowd life’s lane I have chosen you…

Now will you give her all your love? Nor think the labor vain?

Nor hate me should the angels call, to take this child back again?

To which the parents did reply, Dear Lord, Thy will be done.

For all the joys thy child will bring, the risk of grief we’ll run.

We’ll shelter her with tenderness, We’ll love her while we may…

For all the love this child will bring, forever grateful we will stay.

But should the Angels call for her much sooner than we’ve planned,

We’ll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand.

Enjoy your ‘Moments’

May they be perfectly happy and plenty
